SUMMARY:

A well-established company in the technical/manufacturing sector is seeking a commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead a small team while remaining hands-on in B2B sales, new business development and client acquisition. The role will be responsible for driving the full sales cycle, achieving revenue targets, developing client relationships and overseeing the company’s website, SEO and digital marketing activities.

POSITION INFO:
Location Cape Town, Western Cape Requirements 8-10 years' proven B2B sales and new business development experience. Previous experience in a Senior Sales, Sales Management, Business Development or Sales & Marketing role. Proven track record of generating, negotiating and closing new business . Marketing or Technical Diploma\/Degree essential. Strong understanding of the full sales cycle , from lead generation and prospecting through to negotiation and closing. Proven ability to achieve sales targets, revenue objectives and commercial KPIs . Strong commercial, negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills. Experience managing, mentoring or leading a Sales & Marketing team . Hands-on approach with the ability to personally generate and close sales. Good understanding of SEO, website management and digital marketing . Experience managing external website\/SEO or digital marketing providers . Strong technical aptitude and understanding of product specifications, applications, costing and pricing . Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, CRM and digital marketing platforms . Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and business development . Key Responsibilities Develop and execute B2B sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, cold calling and client visits. Build and maintain strong B2B client relationships and engage with key decision-makers. Manage the full sales cycle , including prospecting, quotations, presentations, negotiations and closing. Personally drive and close high-value and strategic sales opportunities . Maintain the sales pipeline, CRM records, forecasts and sales reporting . Maintain and update the company price list and assist with costing customised products, pricing and margin calculations. Provide technical sales support and work with production, technical and operations teams on customer requirements and customised solutions. Lead, mentor and motivate the Sales & Marketing team , setting targets and monitoring KPIs and performance. Develop marketing initiatives that support lead generation, brand awareness and revenue growth . Oversee external website, SEO and digital marketing providers , ensuring deliverables, timelines and objectives are met. Monitor website performance, SEO, online visibility and lead generation , identifying opportunities for improvement. Monitor competitor activity, market trends and new opportunities . Contribute to the company's overall commercial strategy and business growth .
