POSITION INFO:
A well-established organisation operating within the science, manufacturing, technology, and engineering sectors is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.

This role offers exposure to a group structure with multiple entities, providing the opportunity to gain broad experience across different business units.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting financial operations across the group.

The environment calls for a hands-on individual who is comfortable working independently, has strong technical skills, and can operate effectively within a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full accounting function across multiple entities
Prepare and review financial statements and reports
Oversee month-end and year-end processes
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
Assist with consolidations at a group level
Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments
Utilise Pastel for day-to-day financial operations

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Completed articles advantageous
Experience working within group structures and multiple entities
Exposure to industries such as science, manufacturing, technology, or engineering
Strong working knowledge of Pastel
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong communication and organisational skills
