POSITION INFO:
A well-established business within the construction industry is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of the full finance function within a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations and management, making this an excellent role for someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full finance function from transaction processing through to reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with year-end financial processes
Oversee reconciliations, journals, cashbook, creditors, debtors and general ledger integrity
Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with operational and project requirements
Work closely with internal stakeholders to support financial controls and finance-related decision-making
Maintain and utilise BuildSmart for reporting and financial management purposes

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

BCom Accounting degree or BCom student

Experience:

3 years post-articles experience
Proven experience within the construction industry is essential
Strong exposure to the full finance function
BuildSmart experience is non-negotiable

Skills:

Strong accounting and reporting ability
Systems-driven and operationally hands-on
Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
