A leading FMCG / supply chain business is seeking a Senior Financial Manager to oversee national finance operations across multiple Distribution Centres. This role is ideal for a strong CA(SA) with excellent leadership, operational finance exposure, and the ability to drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities (Summarised)

Leadership & Finance Oversight

Lead a team of finance managers and ensure high-quality delivery across debtors, creditors, deals, accounting, payroll, and reporting.
Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and SOPs across all sites.

Financial Reporting & Month-End

Oversee full month-end close, including management accounts, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
Deliver accurate monthly reporting packs for executives.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

Lead the annual budget process and drive monthly forecasting.
Analyse performance, risks, trends, and commercial opportunities.

Cashflow, Treasury & Working Capital

Monitor cashflow, liquidity, treasury movements, and working capital KPIs.
Provide insights to support strategic decisions and operational optimisation.

Audit, Compliance & Controls

Manage internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with governance, statutory requirements, and internal controls.

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

Support operations, supply chain, and commercial teams with financial insights.
Address escalations and improve processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Stock, Fixed Assets & Special Projects

Oversee stock processes and variance investigations across all DCs.
Maintain the fixed asset register and support ad hoc projects, analysis, and due diligence.

Executive Support

Prepare executive reports, strategic analysis, and act as second-in-command to the finance executive.

Requirements

CA(SA) with 5+ years post-articles
FMCG, logistics, manufacturing or supply chain experience advantageous
Strong leadership and operational finance background
Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
