Our client is looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team in Sandton

POSITION INFO:
Roles and Responsibilities Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures, and workforce plans. Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, employee retention, and offboarding. Advise management and employees on employment conditions, workplace policies, and labour relations. Manage disciplinary procedures, including investigations, notices, hearings, sanctions, appeals, and recordkeeping. Ensure disciplinary action is procedurally and substantively fair. Manage employee grievances, incapacity processes, absenteeism, poor performance, and workplace conflict. Prepare for and manage CCMA conciliations and arbitrations, including evidence bundles, witnesses, submissions, and case strategies. Liaise with labour attorneys, consultants, trade unions, employee representatives, and relevant authorities. Manage operational-requirements and retrenchment processes under Section 189 of the Labour Relations Act. Establish and maintain employee committees or other recognised employee-representation structures. Coordinate committee elections, terms of reference, meetings, minutes, consultation, and communication. Maintain constructive relationships with employees, unions, management, and employee representatives. Support the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the company's Social and Labour Plan (SLP). Coordinate SLP commitments relating to human-resource development, employment equity, local economic development, housing, living conditions, and mine-community development. Manage skills-development initiatives and relationships with the relevant SETA, including grant applications, Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports. Oversee learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, bursaries, and employee-development programmes. Monitor compliance with the Mining Charter and support required transformation reporting. Develop and track employment-equity, localisation, skills-development, procurement, and management-representation targets. Support the organisation's B-BBEE strategy, verification process, evidence collection, and scorecard improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate HR, training, transformation, and compliance records. Prepare reports for management, regulators, auditors, SETAs, verification agencies, and other stakeholders. Qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, Business Management, or a related field. Postgraduate HR or labour-law qualification is advantageous. At least 10 years' HR generalist or HR management experience. Relevant experience within the mining sector is strongly preferred. Practical experience handling disciplinary hearings and CCMA matters. Experience managing Section 189 consultation and retrenchment processes. Experience establishing or managing employee committees or representative forums. Practical experience with SLP implementation and reporting. Experience with SETA submissions, Workplace Skills Plans, Annual Training Reports, and discretionary or mandatory grants. Working experience with Mining Charter and B-BBEE compliance, reporting, audits, or verification. Required knowledge The successful candidate must demonstrate a sound working knowledge of: Disciplinary codes and procedures, including investigation, evidence management, hearings, sanctions, and appeals. The Labour Relations Act and CCMA rules and procedures. Section 189 and, where applicable, Section 189A retrenchment requirements. The Basic Conditions of Employment Act. The Employment Equity Act. The Skills Development Act and Skills Development Levies Act. SETA processes and reporting requirements. Social and Labour Plans and relevant mining regulatory requirements. The Mining Charter and transformation requirements. B-BBEE legislation, Codes of Good Practice, scorecard elements, evidence requirements, and verification processes.
