A high-impact opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives within the financial services sector. A leading financial services environment is seeking an exceptional Senior Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of strategic, large-scale projects. The Opportunity This is not a traditional project management role. You will be at the forefront of driving business-critical initiatives , working across cross-functional teams, and engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence. You'll be responsible for translating complex challenges into clear execution plans while maintaining a strong balance between governance, agility, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Delivery Decompose complex initiatives into structured phases, workstreams, and deliverables Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, including scope, timelines, and resources Drive execution with a strong focus on outcomes and business value , not just task completion Execution & Leadership Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable team culture Maintain momentum and energy throughout the project lifecycle Governance & Risk Management Implement and manage robust governance frameworks Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively Provide clear reporting, insights, and escalation to senior leadership Stakeholder Engagement Build strong, trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation Act as the central point of contact, managing expectations and priorities Oversee vendor relationships and third-party deliverables Agile & Adaptive Delivery Apply a blended approach of traditional and agile methodologies Operate effectively in ambiguity and pivot when required without losing focus on outcomes Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field 7+ years' Project Management experience, including 3+ years at a senior level Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex projects Experience within banking, fintech, or financial services is ESSENTIAL Strong knowledge of project methodologies (PMP, PRINCE II, SAFe®, PMI-ACP® beneficial) Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Azure DevOps Key Competencies Inspiring, high-energy leadership style Strong delivery focus with a results-driven mindset Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-changing environments Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Decisive, accountable, and solution-oriented Why Consider This Role?
