A leading financial services institution is seeking a seasoned Senior System Engineer to join its IT Infrastructure and Operations (ITIO) team. This is a critical role within a security-conscious, high-availability environment where stability, resilience, and operational excellence are non-negotiable. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining and optimising complex Windows and Linux server ecosystems across data centres, ensuring the seamless operation of server, database, network, storage, and communication platforms. POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

7+ years of relevant work experience is required;
System Architecture Design, documenting, consulting;
Advanced Active Directory implementation, maintenance and support;
Advanced MS Exchange implementation, maintenance and support (Exchange Hybrid Solutions);
Security certificate management and deployments / Wildcard certificates;
Secure FTP (Cerberus beneficial);
Microsoft Licensing Knowledge;
Internet Information Server (IIS);
Load Balancer Knowledge (Kemp beneficial);
Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems;
Microsoft Failover clustering and High Availability technology;
Understanding and application of API/Integration key concepts;
Scripting/programming languages (Powershell and C#);
Virtualisation (VMWare and HyperV);
MailMarshal;
Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS);
Azure DevOps;

Responsibilities

Meeting with colleagues, development teams and business departments to analyze and workshop requirements;
Take ownership of system infrastructure and help to maintain reliability and uptime of core services;
Research and implement new tools, technologies and best practices based on business and IT requirements;
Operate and administer Windows servers and management tools;
Occasional after-hours support & standby on a rotational basis;
Documenting, executing and maintaining the monthly reporting and presentation processes;
Adhering to organizational structure (processes, systems, tools, templates, and operating practices);
Provide expert technical guidance and input;
Play a leading role in the System engineering team;
Create and maintain technical documentation as needed;
