JOB SUMMARY:
Senior System Engineer required with proven system engineering skills. in design engineering required. Our Client is looking for a person who is a disciplined person with a Methodical approach. The person will do system engineering to ensure that the design, technical management and operations of a system is capable of meeting pre-defined requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SYSTEM ENGINEER: ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Pretoria

Qualification and experience required:

B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
System engineering course
ECSA or equivalent registration preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a relevant engineering industry
At least 5 years’ experience in a Systems Engineering role in the military development environment.
Relevant domain experience
Experience in all facets of the system development life cycle
Team leadership experience
MS Office (Advanced level) & Systems Engineering tools

Responsibilities:

Direct and coordinate the execution of the system to achieve the prescribed performance
Select system architecture components to ensure project cost and schedule requirements are met
Manage system development process to ensure all controls, reviews and processes are correctly followed to meet the performance required.
Ensure technical feasibility and achievement of solutions through the systems life cycle.
Direct and guide the project team through the Systems Engineering process to achieve the applicable Certification and Airworthiness requirements with clear actions and gates.
Lead and provide technical oversight to the Project Teams to ensure the quality and integrity of the solutions delivered.
Manage the Systems Engineering deliverables and Customer Interfaces to achieve the specified system performance and implement improvements to achieve greater productivity and efficiency and reduce delivery time
Provide assistance and support for the Business Units in preparing proposals using the Systems Engineering Life Cycle and planned System Architectures to achieve a feasible and documented solution.
Maintain up to date and relevant information on Supplied and Partner Developed Systems and ensure application and use where required.
Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures used within the business
