The successful candidate will manage road infrastructure projects from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
Typical construction manager roles involve coordinating project teams, supervising construction activities, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pavement construction projects including earthworks, layerworks, surfacing, and drainage
• Oversee construction teams, subcontractors, and site personnel
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations
• Prepare and monitor construction programmes and schedules
• Manage plant, equipment, materials, and site resources
• Liaise with engineers, consultants, and clients
• Monitor project progress, cost control, and reporting
• Ensure adherence to contract specifications and standards

Minimum Requirements

• BSc / BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Registered with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as:
  
  • Pr.CM – Professional Construction Manager, or
  • Pr.CPM – Professional Construction Project Manager
• Minimum 5 years experience in civil construction
• Proven experience in road and pavement works (BSM, asphalt, reseals, slurry, etc.)
• Knowledge of GCC / FIDIC / NEC contracts
• Valid driver’s license
