SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Specialist from the Life Insurance industry to join our finance team based in Sandton. This role will be responsible for managing tax compliance and reporting across multiple life entities, ensuring adherence to relevant tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of life insurance taxation, experience with 5-fund tax calculations, and proven expertise in completing and submitting the related tax returns and regulatory forms.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Manage tax compliance and reporting for life insurance entities Prepare and review tax calculations under the 5-fund tax system Complete and submit all related income tax returns and supporting schedules Ensure compliance with SARS legislation and regulations applicable to life insurers Prepare tax provisions for financial reporting purposes Review and reconcile tax accounts and related balances Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, and tax authorities Monitor legislative changes impacting life insurance taxation and advise on implications Support finance and actuarial teams on tax-related matters Assist with tax risk management, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements Experience: 3 to 5 years' current experience within the Life Insurance industry Demonstrated experience working with life insurance tax Strong understanding of the 5-fund tax regime Experience preparing and submitting tax returns and related statutory forms for life insurers Experience engaging with SARS and external auditors Knowledge of IFRS and tax reporting principles advantageous Qualification: CA(SA) qualification preferred BCom Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or equivalent qualification considered Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our financial recruitment vacancies.
