JOB SUMMARY:
To serve as the main liaison between the organisation and various levels of Department of Health in Gauteng, and facilitate engagement between the organisation and DOH at various levels. The incumbent will work closely with Department of Health and Provide technical assistance to the district HAST managers and ensure successful implementation of 909090 HIV/TB strategy and NSP for HIV/TB/STI.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Health Science
  • Diploma in HIV Management
  • Postgraduate Qualification in Public Health, Management or Social and Behavioural sciences an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with management or supervision of senior diverse/multi-disciplinary team
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing large HAST related programmes at district or higher level, includes working with large donor funded HAST related programmes.
  • Knowledge of latest HIV/TB/PMTCT guidelines.
  • Knowledge of 909090 strategy, Operation Phuthuma, SA NSP for TB/HIV/STIs (2017 – 2022) and other Health related policies
  • Experience in government policy making an advantage
  • Experience analysing complex and sensitive intergovernmental issues, developing, and making recommendations to senior level staff.
