SUMMARY:
Own and shape the South African market for a globally backed beverage brand.

This is a high-ownership role where you’ll take full responsibility for commercial performance, route-to-market, and distributor execution, with the scope to support expansion into the broader Southern African region over time.

Operating in a lean, agile environment, this role suits someone who is as comfortable in the detail as they are setting direction — a hands-on commercial leader who enjoys making things work.

POSITION INFO:

What you’ll be doing

Lead and execute the South Africa commercial strategy
Drive growth across Traditional Trade and Modern Trade
Own and optimise distributor partnerships and performance
Take full accountability for P&L and market delivery
Oversee local marketing execution and brand performance
Build and refine practical ways of working, tools, and processes
Work cross-functionally with regional teams across sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain
Support future expansion into neighbouring markets

Ideal candidates will have:

10+ years’ experience in FMCG
Strong distributor management experience (essential)
Solid understanding of route-to-market across TT & MT
Exposure to Africa / multi-market environments
Proven ability to own and deliver commercial performance
Hands-on, execution-focused mindset
Comfortable operating in a lean, less structured environment
