JOB DESCRIPTION:

HEAD OF FINANCE JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Creating forecasting models
Assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations.
Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
Conduct risk management
Supervise a team of Accountants
Allocate resources and manage cash flows
Conduct profit and cost analyses
Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
Consult board members about funding options
Recommend cost-reducing solutions
Responsible for all Regulatory, Board and Committee returns and submissions.
Annual review of Annual Financial Statements
Handling legal entities that fall within the company
Working closely with the Insurance Managing Executive
Providing financial acumen on key strategic priorities.
Working closely with the Group team to deliver on key strategic projects
Responsible for Finance and actuarial functions within the Group
Drive continuous process efficiency
Responsible for cost management.
Enhance the cash settlement process and drive cost efficiencies within the Group for the insurance business.
FRS17

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance
In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
Insurance experience
IFRS17
CA (SA) MBA or Boom degree
5+ year’s financial management experience
5+ years Insurance Experience at a management level
Business growth
Commercial innovation environments
Broad Finance
