Head of Sales

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the country's sales strategy, drive business development initiatives, and influence the commercial direction of the organisation. You will be responsible for leading a talented sales team, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new growth opportunities within the freight forwarding market. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share. Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve business objectives and commercial targets. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across air freight, ocean freight, and integrated logistics solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and key stakeholders. Monitor sales pipeline performance, customer retention, and profitability metrics. Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with key accounts. Analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. Drive a customer-centric culture and ensure high levels of service delivery and customer satisfaction. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. Experience Minimum 10 years' experience within the freight forwarding and logistics industry. Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior sales leadership role such as Head of Sales, Sales Director, or equivalent. Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition within freight forwarding. Strong understanding of air freight, ocean freight, customs, international trade, and supply chain solutions. Skills Strategic sales leadership. Business development and account management. Commercial negotiation and contract management. CRM and sales performance management tools. Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills. Proven people management and leadership capability. Non-Negotiables Extensive freight forwarding sales experience is essential. Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing sales teams. Strong commercial acumen and customer-facing experience.
