National Channel Manager (FMCG)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the FMCG is seeking a strategic and results driven National Channel Manager to lead and grow key relationships in Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
Key Performance Areas: The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the client's account across the company group, overseeing product portfolios for both clients. Develop and maintain the national account relationship with client, through customer engagement, formal account planning, and execution against agreed commercial targets. Identify growth opportunities, track overall account performance, and drive profitable sales growth across both brand portfolios. Monitor key commercial metrics including pricing, profit margins, promotional campaigns, overall market performance, and customer profitability while ensuring alignment with internal business objectives. Partner with internal sales teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Management) to align operational priorities, meet service levels agreements (SLAs), and fulfil client expectations. Prepare weekly and monthly feedback reports to business with supporting analysis and interpretation. Knowledge & Skills: A relevant bachelor's degree in commerce, Marketing, Business Management, or a related filed is preferred. Minimum 10 years' experience in FMCG sales, key account management or channel management. Proven experience in managing a national retail account is strongly advantageous. Strong understanding of FMCG retail trading principles, customer service requirements, and profitability drivers. Excellent commercial negotiation, strategic planning, and account management capabilities. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and communication skills to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
