SALES MANAGER (RETAIL PUMPS) – EAST RAND (3851)

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

• 5 or more years recent experience in a management and trading role is essential
• Extensive amount of knowledge in the retail and wholesale pumps and accessories industry is essential and not negotiable
• Able to select a pump and read a pump curve
• Computer literate: advanced skilled on Excel, Syspro would be an advantage
• Strong trading as well as management skills
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• A stable work record and contactable reference
• Of sober habits
• A valid driver’s license
• Able to work retail hours
• Work under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, administration, and sales
• Work closely with the Branch Manager, sales, and warehouse staff
• Offer technical advice
• Assist Customers with their pump selections
• Increase branch sales
• Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
• Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
• Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
• Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
• Ensure that stock is secure and that all efforts are made to alleviate any stock losses at the Branch.
• Build, Motivate and maintain a strong team to support the objectives of the Branch.
