Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose summary
Plans, organises and controls, according to laid down sales policy, the sales activities of the sales representatives in the area under his / her control. Responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the area as well as the achievement of pre-set sales targets. Provides the Head: Business Development with accurate sales information. Ensures the brand is promoted and drives activities to enhance the service offering.

Job description

Visit clients on a regular basis to build up sound relationships
Ensure sales targets are achieved and exceeded
Develop and implement call cycles
Coach sales reps in their specific areas
Ensure existing customer base is maintained
Product training for retail staff and sales staff
Manage and innovate promotional activities
Lead prototype development
Ensure profit margins are met and exceeded

Academic qualification

Advanced Diploma / NQF level 7

Years Experience

Up to 10 years

Required experience

Transport and logistics industry
Rental environment, with refrigerated and other vehicles
Strong FMCG
