JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the industry of online sales and buying of used cars is seeking a Sales Manager/ General Manager. To manage an organised and profitable used vehicle department with maximum customer satisfaction. To further ensure the sales team is managed efficiently to deliver optimal results for clients, dealers, and the company through continuous improvement and proactive qualitative actions

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conduct weekly sales meeting
- Discuss any new product information
- Discuss CSI results and potential action plans
Ensure the online system is used efficiently
Ensure sales team members updates the system daily and that notes are comprehensive and clear.
Ensure vehicles are correctly priced.
Ensure leads are actioned and followed through to ensure maximum profit for the company.
Ensure that all relevant customer and vehicle information is correctly captured on the system.
Compile productivity and sales reports
- Manage stock levels and age analysis of all stock.
- Continuously update stock lists.
- Monitor collection of monies owed and floor plan settlements.
- Monitor all departmental sales activities.

Ensure updated reports are provided at monthly meetings, including Incoming leads captured, conversion rate to accepted, accepted to sold, achievement of client liaison sales target
Create marketing awareness for the sales department and dealership
Identify customer needs/trends.
Understand marketing analysis/strategies.
Implement a relevant marketing approach.
Ensure excellent customer service
Responsible for departmental budget (in collaboration with the Finance department)
- Prepare budget according to targeted units.
- Prepare budget according to profitability projections.
- Accurate management of all costs/expenses.

Responsible for vehicle evaluations

- Ensure effective understanding of vehicle evaluation procedure.
- Conduct an accurate vehicle evaluation.
- Contact relevant trade-buyers (if required).
- Complete all necessary evaluation documentation.

Attract, retain, appraise and develop staff

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management position in a Dealership environment. Motor Industry required

Minimum qualification of grade 12/matric
Microsoft (all suites) – good overall knowledge

Knowledge of Salesforce would be advantageous
