JOB SUMMARY:
Our client a supplier of DIY / Power Tools into the retail sector, such as the likes of Makro, Massmart, Mica stores and independents hardwares - is seeking a Sales Manager for the JHB region. This is all areas excluding Western Cape and Natal.
Managing, supervising, organizing, and leading at least 12 staff within the sales and warehouse areas.

No less than 5 years of sales management experience, ideally working with clients in the Retail space. Negotiation at head office level, buying groups as well as independent store owners

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Have you dealt with the likes of Makro, Massmart, Mica independents hardware - this role could be for you
Involved in managing and developing yearly, quarterly, and monthly business plans, managing monthly and quarterly targets.
You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, anticipated sales, follow-up meetings by setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the ongoing training of your salespeople.
Strong leadership skills – Ability to support, nurture, guide, develop and manage people
Ability to assist salespeople on face-to-face appointments.
Managing a strong sales team (leading by example – traveling with them to see clients)
ales management experience is a pre-requisite
Proven sales track record
Ability to be accountable for the sales team
Managing sales activity
Good problem solver
Great presentation skills to clients
Client Liaison
Good client negotiation skills
Strong work ethic
Integrity

Matric
Valid driver license
Willing to travel as you will be out one week a month on a country visit with your sales staff
