JOB SUMMARY:
A well-established company specialising in the distribution of diagnostic laboratory equipment to laboratories requires the above to manage and support a team of Sales Specialists serving the life science industry to achieve sales and profit targets within the Group.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

A BSc (hons) degree in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) or an NQF 6 or related qualification is essential for this role.
Previous experience having worked as a National and/or Regional Sales Manager or within a related role is essential.
Previous sales and marketing experience within the life science industry is essential.
Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Existing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the South African scientific and research community is preferred.
Experience working on Salesforce or related CRM software is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Leading the Sales Team in promoting the Company’s product portfolio to existing and new customers.
Achieving and exceeding sales and GP budgets within territories, relevant customer accounts and product budgets.
Assisting with sales budgeting, sales forecasting and sales reporting as required.
Developing and driving account focused marketing strategies towards achieving and exceeding growth targets.
Developing and implementing tactical plans to realise new growth opportunities.
Implementing, monitoring and ensuring overall territorial coverage by each individual sales specialist.
Ensuring in-field accompaniment of Sales Specialists and providing support with respect to product and sales knowledge.
Effectively following up and concluding long-term, high-value projects.
Complying with required internal processes and reporting to ultimately deliver growth and support sales performance.
Achieving product, regional and sales specialist sales and GP budgets.
Complying with, and developing the Company quality system requirements.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
