SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector has an EE opportunity available for a Senior Specialist: Mining and Metals to be based in the Sandton, Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Relevant commercial or technical Honours Degree or equivalent qualification - Metallurgy
8-10 years industry/sector(s) experience in Steel - essential
Previous experience analysing all technical and marketing aspects of a deal/project – due diligence experience
Experience in peer review
Known as an expert/specialist within the area of specialization

KPAs:

Conduct specialist evaluation/due diligence of business proposals and deals under consideration
Participate due diligence investigations
Identify any risk in deals and projects (including during implementation) and defining mitigation plans to minimise these risks
Provide specialist input into the technical/marketing aspect of the report for presentation to the relevant credit and other committees as required
Build and maintain a network specialising in technical/marketing aspects (existing and expanded)
Keep up to date with latest industry developments (conferences and sector forums)
