Senior Specialist: Supply Chain Management

SUMMARY:
To procure goods and services in a fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective manner in line with the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Procedures and relevant legislation.

POSITION INFO:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Procure Goods and Services (Tenders)

• Manage the end-to-end tender process in line with the policy, procedures and relevant legislation
• Advise business on process and best practice
• Assist business with the resolution of any queries
• Assist suppliers with the resolution of queries

Maintain Customer Relationships

• Identify the relevant role players in accordance with business requirements and dependencies
• Set-up meetings with the role players to discuss the roles and responsibilities and possible areas of cooperation, improvement and conflict

Adhoc Responsibilities

• Perform adhoc tasks as and when required
• Stand-in for Senior Specialist: Contracts Management when required

Document Management

• Draft, Manage and Maintain all required reports and documentation in line with policy and procedures
• Ensure that all documentation is managed and maintained within allocated timeframes

Procurement Committee Administration

• Set-up committee meetings
• Ensure that all compliance documentation is in place
• Compile committee documents and packs

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Minimum Education and Experience

• 3 year qualification in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 4 years experience within a Procurement environment
• 2 - 3 years experience with the tender process
