JOB SUMMARY:
A position has become available in JHB South, for an experience Product Manager (Automotive).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Formal Education-
Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification with minimum ten-years’ experience in the relevant product category

Work Experience-
Extensive technical experience
Relevant technical product range knowledge

IT and Systems-
- Advanced NAV capabilities
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong CRM understanding
- Strong MS PowerPoint skills

REQUIREMENTS:

Relevant Industry (automotive) knowledge
Strong technical skills associated with the Business Unit’s Category and Product offering
An understanding of company’s sales and marketing tool sets, and the ability to use each of them to their maximum benefit, including CRM, Intelepart, BI and company reporting
An understanding of business systems and procedures relevant to the job and market
Advanced skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experienced to manage key accounts
Advanced negotiation and customer service skills at Senior Management level
Thorough understanding of Categories and Products & specific knowledge surrounding the Business Unit’s channel objectives
An above average understanding of business and financial principles

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

Development of Product Portfolio relevant to customer and business needs, i.e. A/B/C movers
Achievement of the business units’ sales and margin budgets
Accuracy of Revenue, Margin and AMU forecast
Reduction in surplus inventory of the business unit (excess and obsolete) in line with the step-down plan of the business unit
Provision of sales supports tools and material and technical solutions and product commercialization
Achievement of the GMROI target of the business unit

Product Training
Customer support & services
Product Management interface

The role will be for senior person with experience as a product manager. The person must have a good technical acumen but doesn’t have to be from the automotive sector.
