SUMMARY:
A well-established accounting firm based in JHB North is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join their advisory team

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications & Experience

CA(SA) or LLB (essential)
Postgraduate qualification in Tax: HDip (Tax) / BCom Honours / MCom (Tax) (non-negotiable)
6–8 years’ relevant corporate tax experience
Strong proficiency in:
- Corporate tax advisory
- Tax opinions and technical writing
- Compliance and submissions
- Due diligence reviews
- Dispute resolution
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert technical advice in domestic corporate tax, with working knowledge of broader tax disciplines to resolve complex tax issues
Engage directly with clients while managing sensitive and confidential client relationships
Liaise and maintain strong working relationships with relevant local tax authorities
Interpret and apply income tax legislation and tax administration laws effectively
Identify and consider additional tax legislation impacting client matters
Develop and present complex tax advisory solutions and recommendations
Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior consultants and professional staff
Demonstrate strong project management capability, including end-to-end delivery of tax engagements
Perform first-level technical reviews of tax computations, opinions and reports
Prepare high-quality reports detailing findings, conclusions and recommendations
Manage client engagements including risk assessment, budgeting, billing and delivery timelines
Identify opportunities within existing client portfolios and support business development initiatives
Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation, case law and regulatory developments
Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical discussions and team development
Collaborate closely with partners to ensure delivery of high-quality client outcomes
