Clay Brick Manufacturing and Distribution Company seeks a Sales Manager to be responsible for managing Sales, Marketing and Logistics activities. Plan and develop Sales & Marketing Systems and Strategies to improve quality of service and efficiency. Analyse, plan and manage personnel development through application of set policies, career plan, coaching and mentorships.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Sales & Marketing Degree

Minimum 3 - 5years’ sales experience within the industry

Brick Industry knowledge

Performance Outputs

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets of sales volumes, sales prices and marketing expenses.

Maintain and expand existing customer base by meeting on a regular basis with client representatives to determine their future brick requirements.

Expand the client base by securing new business through targeting of potential clients and market research into forthcoming developments and capital projects

Expand and ensure that all Transporters meets set minimum statutory requirements and company standards

Maintain and control Customer Order Book

Develop, implement and update competitive web-based advertising, Sales and Marketing System to promote the company sales objectives.

Plan and apply personal contact advertising, product promotion and sample distribution as part of marketing

Set-up Logistics Management System to ensure appropriate movement and documentation of bricks leaving the yard and immediately report any suspected or determined theft.

Conduct market research and market assessments to establish maximum possible sales prices for the company’s products and possible new range.

Assess sales and delivery systems (logistics) for loopholes and flaws and recommend improvement to eliminate them.

Assist monthly with ideas of improvement on the company operations

Maintain the customer files and audit on a regular basis to ensure a healthy working relationship between the company and customers

Provide a weekly progress report to GM, CEO and Sales Director of all clients visited, orders obtained, quotations issued and contacts made with potential clients in addition to an assessment of the market

Compile and submit monthly reports pertaining to all sales progress and other issues for that relevant month

Management of Department Personnel

Manage and liaise with internal staff on a regular basis to ensure healthy working relationship

Establish employee goals and career paths

Conduct employee performance reviews

Initiate and implement succession plans and department internships

Coach and provide career development advice to staff

Direct staff in the development, analysis and preparation of reports

Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures

Take corrective actions against staff members failing to comply with set policies and standards

Counselling and consulting employees where necessary

Liaise with HR office on all HR and Labour Relations related matters and paperwork

General

Assist the Sales and Marketing Director wherever possible in order to fulfil the above objectives

Assist with the collection of debtors, banking of deposits, resolution of customer queries detailed on remittance advices and documentation with regard to sales invoices, proof of deliveries.

Ensure the distribution and delivery of client statements on a monthly basis

Attend monthly credit circle meetings

Ad Hoc Duties

Perform any and all reasonable instructions issued by the General Manager/ Sales Director

Assist and be involved in other projects
